Grievance RedressalCommittee

This is to inform to all the staff members, faculty members and students that an Student’s counselling and grievance redressal committee comprising of the members as listed below has been formed with effect from today to conduct meeting with students periodically and to register the complaints regarding transport issues, mess issues, hostel issues, infrastructure issues, academic issues and other similar issues and to resolve the same quickly. The objectives of the metrics are hereby attached. All are requested to cooperate with the committee.

Grievance:

Grievance is any dissatisfaction arising out of anything which a student feels unfair, unjust or inequitable.

Objectives:

•To ensure effective solution to student’s grievances with an impartial and fair approach. •To make redressal process fair, impartial and consistent. •To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among the stake holders in order to maintain a harmonious atmosphere in the institute. •Upholding the dignity of the college by ensuring the strife free atmosphere in the college through promoting cordial student-student relationship and student-teacher relationship.

Grievance conveying procedure:

1.Open door policy: Grievances can be conveyed through direct approach during meeting or through phone to the committee
2.Grievance Redressal Committee boxes: Drop the grievances in the grievance redressal committee boxes available in the department
3.Email: Grievances can be sent to the email id of grievance redressal committee

*Anonymous complaints will not be accepted

Grievance Redressal committee-Redressal Mechanism

•Grievance committee is constituted by the Head of the institution and based on the effective functioning of the committee; the same committee will be extended or reconstituted for the next academic year.
•Convener will be sending circular to members, student representatives and conduct meeting once in every month.
•The committee will provide friendly environment to the students to register complaints and suggestions for future improvements.
•The committee will interact with student participants.
•All the complaints will be registered without any bias and giving any on the spot solutions.
•After interactions with students, the complaints will be segregated based on the nature and it will be consolidated with suggestions and forwarded to Principal and HODs.
•Action will be taken by the concerned HODs and Principals and the same will be acknowledged by the committee to students within 7 working days.
•In addition to the above regular meetings, all the students are informed to send their grievances at any time to the mail id: pecgrievances@prathyusha.edu.in
